This policy applies to the Birmingham Jewish Recorder (BJR), operated under the Representative Council of Birmingham and West Midlands Jewry (Registered Charity Number: 1105584). This privacy policy extends to all the trading names of the Jewish Representative Council of Birmingham and West Midlands. Any other partner, advertiser or third party included, mentioned or linked to BJR may have their own policy. We advise you to consult and contact them directly.

 

The type of personal information we collect
We currently collect and process the following information:

  • Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics: name, e-mail address, postcode and payment status.
  • Payment transactions and details operated from and within our website. All online payments are handled securely by Stripe.com

 

How we get the personal information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for allowing and maintain access to our online publication.

We also receive personal information indirectly from the payment platform called STRIPE we use on our website at www.recorder.org.uk.

We use the information that you have given us in order to grant and maintain access to the online magazine.

We do not intend to share any of the data with any other third-party company or partner. If this part of the policy is to change, we will inform you in advance of any such action.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

  • Your consent. You can remove your consent at any time by contacting us at contact@recorder.org.uk or DPO@recorder.org.uk.
  • We have a contractual obligation for, but not limited to, continuing providing you access to the online platform.

 

How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored on the host’s server database.

 

We keep all the personal information shared by you, as well as the payment receipt for 6 years from the date of your agreement and/or payment. We will then dispose of your information by archiving and/or deleting the data from all our system. Due to law compliance of payments tracking we might maintain partial information relating to your payment.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
